The reverse of the coin depicts a fascinating Great White Shark swimming in e ocean with his mouth wide open, facing the upper jaw bite.
On the bottom left of the reverse, on the bended side, the inscription: “SHARK” – the name of the coin.
The obverse of the coin depicts the Palau Coat of Arms surrounded by the ocean full of sharks and the lower jaw bite.
On top of the obverse, the inscription: “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the issue country. On the bottom right of the bended side, the inscriptions: “FIVE DOLLARS” – the face value and “2017” – the year of issue.
