A new coin from Art Mint pay tribute to the splendour of the cathedral of Notre Dame, with money from each sale going to the restoration fund following the fire of 15 April. Notre Dame Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, suffered a serious fire on 15 April, that destroyed the spire, much of the roof and some of the interior of the medieval building. Within hours of the fire a global fundraising appeal had been launched, with French president Emmanuel Macron pledging to rebuild the cathedral.
The new release from the Art Mint is inspired by a coin designed in 2019 for the famous series MANDALA ART that celebrates the “GOTHIC” design with the Notre Dame northern “rose”.
The obverse represents the northern “rose”, stained-glass window reproducing by digital high definition printing the exact colors and design.The face value, the year date 2019 and the Fiji coat of arms are featured on the reverse.
