OBVERSE imagery on the 2021 Australian Platinum Kookaburra features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

Designed for the Royal Mint of England in 2015 by Jody Clark, this design shows the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head.

This is the sixth-generation effigy of the Queen to grace Australian coinage.

REVERSE designs on the 2021 1/10 oz Australian Platinum Kookaburra Coin include the image of a kookaburra.

The largest member of the kingfisher species, the kookaburra is closely associated with the Australian Outback, and its trademark call is consistently used in soundtracks capturing life in the Outback.

Perth Mint was founded in 1899 as a branch mint of the Royal Mint of England.

Today, the mint is owned by the government of Western Australia and is one of the world’s preeminent refiners of gold and silver bullion.
