DESCRIPTION
This 2 Oz Silver coin is the 1ER Release of the series THE IMMORTAL EIGHT and depicts ZHANG GUOLAO, a Chinese mythological figure.
The reverse depicts ZHANG GUOLAO riding on his white mule facing backwards, which is how he is usually depicted, riding along the mountain roads, visiting villages.
With his right hand he holds his long beard and with his left hand he holds his emblem, a bamboo drum in the shape of a tube with two iron rods or mallets representing immortality.
In the sky three herons can be seen at different distances and in the background part of the residence of the gods.
The obverse depicts another part of the residence of the gods and several herons, from the farthest to the nearest, which always accompany the eight immortals.
On the obverse, the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “NIUE” – the country of issue, “5 DOLLARS” – the face value, “2022” – the year of issue and “Ag 999” – the fineness of the Silver.
The coin has a wonderful design, has Antique finish quality, features a beautiful High Relief and a selective coloration.
It comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity.
